MSI RTX 2070 Super Review

Today, we review the MSI RTX 2070 Super graphics card.

As a long time MSI fan, I am somewhat disappointed with this card so far. While an initial Unique Heaven benchmark gave me a score of 6150 with my max FPS going as high as 410, the card does appear to be running quite warm, with mean load temperatures ranging from 75-85C. The two fans on the card are quite loud, too, and while MSI Afterburner allows for a quick and easy setup of fan curves, it is worth noting that there's no way to run the card with fans below 25% at any given time.

This is interesting coming from an MSI GTX 1060, which ran at 0% fan speed up until the 60C temperature mark.

Bottom line: The RTX 2070 provides good performance but comes at a cost!
